Welcome, I hope and pray that you are here as a result of asking God to reveal something to you from His word.
I created this site because very pure-hearted Christians are still wondering whether they are in God's good books. Jesus died to set us free, yet so many churches and preachers want to bind people up.
The aim of this site is to share with you the often misunderstood truth of God's Grace. It is very normal to assume that the good things of God are things that we need to work towards, to earn and attain. However, the Bible is very clear that we have already received these things the moment we believed. Neither do they need to be "unlocked." A simple analogy would be like a newborn puppy trying to earn its mother's care.
OK, so why don't we feel like we have these things? Because they are not based on feelings they are based on truth. Can a child feel it needs to earn its mother's love even if the mother's love is truly unconditional? Of course. We can all have some mix of the feeling that we have to get things right, achieve, be helpful, make meaningful connections, be smart, be strong and brave, have fun, and be considerate of others to deserve love.
Ironically, it is when we get things wrong, fail, get in the way, are cut off, are dumb, weak, afraid, fed up and couldn't care less about others that we feel the need to be loved most!
So, how do we "feel" or "access" the things God has given to us? By understanding what the Bible says. We need to take the blinders off. It is so easy for us to read a verse like, "If you love me you will keep my commandments" as "Unless you obey the Old Testament commandments I will not accept that you love me!" Rather than, "Because you love me, I have empowered and equipped you so that you cannot help but keep the new commandments of the new covenant."
The short answer to how we "feel" or "access" the things God has given to us, is by knowing what scripture says He has given to us and accepting it by faith. Faith is accepting the things we do not see. The more we let the truth of God's word sink in the more real it becomes to us.
But we can have a problem with talking about the truth of God's word. There will always be the Pharisees who can only read the Bible as a set of dos and don'ts, who think the teachings of Moses are more important to the Christian than the teachings of Paul, say.
First, we have to start with the Gospel. Why is it we can tell someone, 'Believe in Jesus so that your sins will be forgiven and you will be saved.' Then once they believe we start giving them lists of things they need to do to stay saved and to keep their sins forgiven! Are we politicians who will say anything to get into power and then pull out the real agenda once we are there? Are we salespeople who will say anything to make a sale?
We need to follow the truth of the Gospel throughout the New Testament and not keep jumping back to Moses.
For me, the best way to do this is by showing the weight and consistency of teaching throughout the New Testament on the various aspects of the Gospel promises. And the best way to do that is to simply list the verses that tell us about these things.
On this site, you will find many lists of God's new covenant promises to those who believe.
