By One Offering

'Knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.' John 19:28-30

'Unlike the high priests before, Jesus doesn’t need to offer up sacrifices every day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. No, He did this once for all, when he offered up himself.' Heb 7:27

'But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained our eternal redemption.' Heb 9:11-12

'For Christ hasn’t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own, or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.' Heb 9:24-26

'So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.' Heb 9:28

'First Jesus said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first covenant to establish the second. And by God's will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.' Heb 10:8-10

'Day after day every priest stands and performs religious duties; again and again offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But Jesus, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God,' Heb 10:11-12

'Because Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit,' 1 Peter 3:18
